Biography

Simon studied for a Diploma in acupuncture at the Northern College of Acupuncture in York followed by a Diploma in Chinese Herbal Medicine.

After volunteering at St Teresa’s Hospice Darlington he moved in to a paid post as complementary therapies coordinator. Simon went on to study in Chinese herbal medicine oncology – internal medicine Chengdu University Hospital Sichuan Province China. After relocating from the north east to London he worked as a visiting lecturer at University of Westminster - clinical supervisor on the acupuncture degree course. Alongside a private practice Simon worked for Hoxton health group charity and as resident acupuncturist in a GP surgery in Hackney.

Simon worked at St Joseph’s Hospice for 12 years as therapies manager, including management of the Namaste Care dementia team. He studied for an MA Hospice Leadership at Lancaster University.

Simon moved to Painswick, just outside Stroud in June 2021
